see em why kがこれまで生産者やローカルメーカーとともにつくってきた商品を中心に販売する「see em why k LOCAL DESIGN MARKET」を、読谷のゆんラボ・未来館（読谷図書館）にて開催します。実食やワークショップなど、さまざまなコンテンツを通して、ものづくりやデザインに触れていただけるマーケットです。

『商品』とは、その土地に根づいた素材や文化、歴史、そしてそれらを受け継ぎながらものづくりを続ける人たちによって生み出されています。

今回のマーケットでは、商品そのものだけでなく、その背景にあるストーリーや、つくり手の想い、ものづくりのプロセスにも触れていただける場をつくります。
また、商品がどのようにデザインされ、デザインによって地域の素材や文化がどのように形づくられているのか。実際の商品を通して、デザインの役割や可能性にも触れていただけます。
沖縄の生産者やメーカーに加え、京都や奈良からの出店も。地域を越えたものづくりや食文化との出会いもお楽しみいただけます。

つくる人、伝える人、使う人。
それぞれが出会い、対話することで、地域の魅力をあらためて知る。
そんな場を目指しています。

at YUN LABO Mirai-kan, Yomitan

See Em Why K is hosting the see em why k LOCAL DESIGN MARKET, featuring products we have developed together with local producers and makers over the years.

The market offers an opportunity to discover not only the products themselves, but also the stories, ideas, and craftsmanship behind them. Through products, workshops, food, and conversations with makers, we invite you to explore the connection between local culture, materials, and design.

Alongside producers and makers from Okinawa, guests from Kyoto and Nara will also join us, bringing together different perspectives, traditions, and approaches to making.

Those who make, those who share, and those who use.

We hope this market becomes a place where they meet, exchange ideas, and discover the stories behind the things we live with.
